Sophomore women's golfer Brittany Scheetz has been selected IUPUI's Female Student-Athlete of the Month for the month of March 2008. The 5-foot-2 Northridge High School-product was the Jaguars' low scorer at the Eastern Kentucky El Diablo in Citrus Springs, Fla. to begin the month. 

In that event, Scheetz tied for 18th of 55 competitors overall by carding a 54-hole score of 246 at the El Diablo Golf and Country Club. Her opening round 81 was her lowest 18-hole score of the spring to date. 

She capped the month by participating in the Butler Spring Invitational at Prestwick Country Club and finished her two rounds at 177. For the month, Scheetz had an 84.60 scoring average in five rounds.

This spring, she ranks fourth on the team with an 87.86 scoring average. For the year, she carries a 85.46 scoring avearge in 13 competitive rounds. Earlier this year, she turned in a 75 at the Butler Fall Invitational, tying for the sixth-lowest single round in IUPUI history.
