IUPUI junior golfer Jackson Juerling has been named the Jaguars' Male Athlete of the Month for March 2017. The Indianapolis-native had a banner month, collecting a pair of top-five finishes in his two tournament entries. In addition, he helped the team to a tournament title and runner-up finish during the month. 

Juerling took medalist honors at the Don Benbow Invitational (Mar. 6-7) in Jacksonville Beach, Fla., carding a 1-over 143 (70-73) to top the 53-player field. In doing so, he helped the Jaguars to a runner-up finish at 606 (304-302). 

Two weeks later, Juerling finished second at the Butler Spring Invitational at 151 (77-74), helping the Jaguars to a team title. 

He was named Summit League Player of the Week on Mar. 8, after winning the Benbow event.

For the month, Juerling posted a 73.50 stroke average in four rounds with a low round of 70. He personally had a .986 winning percentage for the month, defeating 69 of 70 individuals in his two entries. 

For the year, Juerling ranks second on the squad with a 75.22 stroke average, putting him 18th in The Summit League.
