Junior swimmer Tony Carroll has been named the IUPUI Student-Athlete of the Month for the month of November after helping the Jags post a 2-1 record in dual meets and win the House of Champions.

Carroll was twice named Summit League Men’s Swimmer of the Week during the month winning the weekly honor on Nov. 11 and Nov. 25. He opened the month with three individual wins and a second-place finish in meets with Valparaiso and Wright State, before notching four victories, including two individual wins in the 100 back and the 200 back at the House of Champions meet.

In individual events at the House of Champions, he placed third in the 500 free with a time of 4:35.34, which is the second-best time in the Summit League this season. He followed that up with wins in the 100 back and 200 back, with his 200 back time of 1:52.34 setting a new school record while ranking third in the conference this season.Carroll’s lead-off 100 back time of 51.22 in the 400 medley relay set a new school record while ranking as the second-best time in the league this season.
