Nathan Thompson is in his second year as a volunteer assistant with the Jaguars. Last year, Thompson's work in practice helped prepare the Jaguars for the success they found on the court, as the team went 20-10.
Their 20 victories and .667 winning percentage were both single-season records in the school's Division I era.
In the spring, Thompson serves as the Junior Varsity Head Coach for the boys volleyball team at Southport [Ind.] High School.
A 2007 graduate of Southport, Thompson was a three-time varsity letterwinner for the Cardinals, earning team MVP honors following both his junior and senior seasons. Thompson was an Indiana All-Star both his junior and senior years as well.
Thompson is presently working towards his sports management degree and is due to graduate from IUPUI in 2011.
