Biography

Of Note:  Preseason First Team All-Summit selection entering 2009-10 ... Sits 2nd on IUPUI’s all-time blocks list after two seasons with 206 rejections ... With 1,004 career points, is the 19th IUPUI women's basketball player to go over the 1,000-point plateau.

LAST SEASON: 2008-09 [Junior]  Once again teamed with Jernisha Cann to give IUPUI one of the conference's top low-post duos ... Earned by pre- and post-season First Team All-Summit League honors after averaging 13.8 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game ... Became the 19th IUPUI women's basketball player to eclipse the 1,000-point mark for her career with 6 points in her final game of the season ... Upped her play in Summit League action, averaging 14.8 points, 9.3 boards and 2.3 blocks per game ... Was fifth in scoring in The Summit, third in rebounding (9.3), fifth in field-goal percentage (52.0) and was second in blocks (2.3) ... Matched her career-high with 27 points at Oakland on Jan. 26 ... 11 field goals in 18 attempts against Oakland were season highs ... Jan. 26 contest was arguably her most dominating game of the year, as she posted 14 rebounds to go along with the 27 points ... 12 of her 14 rebounds in the contest came on the defensive end, matching her career high ... Equaled her career high with 8 blocks against USC-Upstate on Nov. 25 ... Started 29 of IUPUI's 31 games during the season ... Finished 19th in the NCAA in blocks per game ... Tallied 11 double-digit rebounding games to go along with 27 games in which she had 10 or more points ... Her 10 double-doubles were second on the team to Cann ... Has 23 career double-doubles ... IUPUI is 35-33 in games in which Whitted starts in her career.  

2007-08 [Sophomore]  Gave IUPUI another option in the low post, achieving First Team All-Summit honors after averaging a team-high 15.3 points as well as 8.8 rebounds and 3.2 blocks per game ... Points per game jumped from 3.4 to 14.4, an increase of 11.0 ppg ... 3.2 blocks per game was 7th in the NCAA ... 14 10-plus rebound games were second in The Summit League only to teammate Jernisha Cann ... 12 double-doubles on the year trailed only Cann among Summit League players ... Earned an All-Tournament Team selection after posting double-doubles in all three tournament games ... Closed the season with doubles against Southern Utah (18 points, 14 rebounds), UMKC (24 points, 16 rebounds) and Oral Roberts (15 points, 10 rebounds) ... Had 8 double-doubles in her last 9 contests ... Picked up Summit League Co-Player of the Week honors on Feb. 26 afters double-doubles at Oakland and at IPFW ... In the month of February and three games in March, averaged 18.6 points, 10.9 rebounds and 3.2 blocks over 11 contests ... In The Summit League Tournament semifinal, swatted 8 UMKC shots, setting a new tournament record ... 27 points against Southern Utah on Feb. 4 were an IUPUI season high and a career high for Whitted ... 10 offensive rebounds at SUU on Jan. 5 were also an IUPUI season high ... Set career highs in virtually every category, including points (27), rebounds (16), assists (3), blocks (8), minutes (38), field goals made (13) and field goals attempted (21) ... 105 blocks were the fourth-most in school history in a single season ... In Summit League play, averaged 15.4 points and 9.7 rebounds over 18 contests ... Was 1st in The Summit in blocks, while placing 2nd in rebounding and 6th in points per game ... In conference play, ranked 1st in blocks (3.28), 2nd in rebounding (9.7) and 5th in scoring (15.8) ... Also ranked among the league leaders in field-goal percentage with a .481 mark overall (7th) and a .487 percentage in conference play (6th) ... Helped IUPUI place 1st in The Summit in scoring defense (57.0/56.0) and 2nd in field-goal percentage defense (.389) ... Led Jaguars in scoring on 15 occasions in 2007-08 and eclipsed 20 points six times ... Paced Jags in rebounding in 13 contests.

2006-07 [Freshman]  Appeared in 29 games for IUPUI, starting the final six games of the season ... Averaged 3.4 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.66 blocks per game ... In conference play, averaged 3.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 0.64 blocks in 14 games ... In her last six games, averaged 7.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 11.2 minutes per game ... Coming off the bench averaged 2.4 points, 1.7 rebounds and 0.43 blocks in 4.7 minutes per game ... IUPUI was 4-2 with her as a starter ... Picked up Mid-Con Co-Player of the Week honors on Feb. 27 after averaging 12.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.0 blocks for the week ... Was one of two Jaguars to receive a player of the week honor (Jernisha Cann) ... In that two-game stretch, had a career-high 14 points versus Centenary and her first double-double on Feb. 26 with 10 points and 10 rebounds versus Oral Roberts ... Tallied five blocks in the Jaguars’ 60-56 win over the Golden Eagles ... Previous career-high in scoring had been eight points against the University of Florida on Nov. 21 ... Appeared in a career-best 19 minutes in IUPUI’s 56-51 win over Western Illinois in the Mid-Con Tournament First Round ... Earned a place on the IUPUI Academic Advisor’s List for the fall semester.

HIGH SCHOOL:  Averaged 16.9 points and 8.9 rebounds per game during her senior season at Northview (Brazil, Ind.) High School ... Hit 61.5 percent of her shots from the field ... Finished her career as Northview’s career scoring and rebounding leader ...  Helped lead the Knights to the sectional final her senior season ... Selected as All-Western Indiana Conference following each high school season ... Named to Hoosier Basketball Magazine’s Top 100 Senior Girls list following the 2005-06 season ... Also named an alternate to the Hoosier Basketball Top 40 Seniors workouts ... Took part in practices and drills but not in scrimmages ...
