Mark Hall is entering his second season on the IUPUI softball staff as a volunteer assistant coach. In his first year with the Jaguars, IUPUI narrowly missed a spot in the four-team Summit League Tournament and belted a school record 37 homers. He previously served a similar role at Indiana State from 2008-09 and specializes in recruiting, hitting instruction and working with catchers.
Hall is deeply rooted within the sport, having played, coached and umpired at the highest level.
He's played in well over 2,000 career games in slow pitch and fast pitch, culminating in a "A" slow pitch National Championship in 1996. He's also umpired nearly that same number of contests and is a past president of Umpires for Youth where he provided training to umpires throughout Central Indiana.
Hall has over 200 wins as a head coach in 18U "A" and women's open division softball and has scouted and recruited more than 100 players for 18U "A", Gold and Open divisions. More than 20 of his former players have gone on to collegiate softball careers. He also coached the Indiana Shockwaves 18U team for four years and is currently the coach for the St. Louis Saints Women's open division team.
Hall founded PinPoint Resources in 1993; a recruiting and staffing company with 200 plus employees and annual revenues exceeding 15 million dollars. His volunteer experience includes serving as the Vice Chairman on the Board of Directors for Truth at Work and as a Chairman for the Freedom International Ministries.
Mark and his wife Lisa reside in Noblesville.
