Lauren Hruskovich is entering her second season as a student assistant coach to the IUPUI softball team. After being recruited as a catcher, injuries derailed what was an otherwise promising career for Hruskovich. She still proved to be of extreme value to her team however, as Hruskovich began serving as an assistant to former head coach Amanda Rivera before making the transition to the new 2017 staff. Coach Hruskovich has been crucial to the continued development of the roster, serving as both a practice coordinator and gameday mentor. She was pivotal in helping new head coach Heather Tarter transition into a lead role, as Hruskovich was the only other member of the coaching staff prior to the arrival of Brianna Hesson. She has overseen a variety of aspects with the team, and has been called upon to fill many roles where necessary.
