Bethany Hartigan has been named the #HLWSOC Defensive Player of the Week after guiding the Jaguars to a 3-0 win over Chicago State on Sunday.
Hartigan played 73 minutes in the defensive third, limiting the visiting Cougars to just four total shot attempts and without a corner kick. She also got in on the act offensively, netting her first collegiate goal in the game's 20th minute to build a 2-0 lead on way to the 3-0 victory.
For the season, Hartigan leads the Jaguars with 343 minutes played and is tied for second on the team with three points through four games.
