INDIANAPOLIS - The IU Indianapolis women's soccer team will host Chicago State (0-4) in its 2026 home opener at Michael A. Carroll Stadium on Sunday (Aug. 30) for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff. The Jaguars will honor six seniors - Avery Bangert, Lindsey Castillo Katie Hoog, Caroline Kelley, Lilly Ma and Megan Swift - immediately following the match as part of Senior Day. 

Sunday's match will be broadcast on ESPN+. 

The Jaguars (0-2-1) are coming off their best result of the season, earning a 2-2 road draw at SIUE last Sunday on a pair of second half goals. Keilah Muldrow and Hannah Roberson each scored and Castillo delivered a pair of assists as the Jags rallied from two goals down to collect a road result. In goal, sophomore Isabel Oferosky made her first collegiate start and responded with three saves in a full 90 minutes of action. 

The Jags finished with a 13-11 shot margin by outshooting the Cougars 8-3 over the final 45 minutes. Freshman Madeline Chappa had a team-high three shots and Roberson and Kelley each attempted two off the bench.

"Anytime you can go on the road and tie a team that beat you at home the year before, it's a good day. Add the fact that we were down 2-0 early shows this team's resilience. I'm proud of this team! We never quit, we battled back and for the second consecutive game, we shutout and outscored a road opponent (in the second half). It's a process. It will continue to be a process as we experiment with lineups in preparation for league play," head coach Angela Berry White said after the 2-2 draw at SIUE.

Katie Hoog - made 11 starts and 16 appearances last season; 52 career appearances and 46 starts; played more than 1,000 minutes each of her first three seasons
Caroline Kelley - started 17 matches last season; 58 career appearances and 56 starts; 13 career goals and eight assists
Lilly Ma - started 17 times in the defensive third last season; 21 career appearances and 20 starts; one goal and two assists in her IU Indy career
Megan Swift - first season with the program since transferring in from Chicago State; three career appearances with the Jaguars

Chicago State is 0-4 to start the season having been outscored by an 18-2 margin. Most recently the Cougars fell at home to Alabama A&M, 2-1, on Thursday (Aug. 27). 

SERIES HISTORY
Sunday's match marks the first-ever meeting between IU Indy and Chicago State in women's soccer.
