INDIANAPOLIS – The IU Indianapolis women's tennis team opened the 2026 season in emphatic fashion, earning a 7–0 victory over IU Kokomo on Monday afternoon at the West Indy Racquet Club.
IU Indianapolis dominated singles play, dropping just two total games across six matches.
Sara Jankovic,
Chloe Bailey, and
Calli Sokolowski each cruised to 6–0, 6–0 wins at the top three singles positions.
Elle Kotre followed with a 6–0, 6–1 victory at No. 4, while
Grace Lampman matched that score at No. 5.
Hanan Awale secured the final singles point via forfeit to complete the sweep.
The Jaguars kicked off their momentum in doubles competition, claiming all three matches.
Kally Kadzinski and
Elle Kotre earned a 6–2 win at No. 1 doubles, while
Hanan Awale and
Bella Duncan posted a 6–2 victory at the No. 2 spot.
Chloe Bailey and
Calli Sokolowski earned a forfeit win at No. 3 doubles.
With the win, IU Indianapolis improves to 1–0 on the season. The Jags will now travel to Western Illinois on Friday, January 23 for a 1:00 PM first serve.
