All told, the Jags notched five new personal bests, including Hoard's school record on Saturday inside the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
Hoard opened the day with a best throw of 11.31m (37' 1.25'') in the shotput, beating her own school record by more than two inches. Fellow veteran
Skyler Sichting finished the event with a best toss of 8.96m (29' 4.75'').
In the mile, Smith won her race in a personal best time of 5:07.89, shedding four seconds off her prior best. Senior
Hannah Robbins ran a personal best time of 5:21.17 to take 11 seconds off her prior best and freshman
AnnMarie Gibson made her indoor debut with a time of 5:33.12. In the 800m event, freshman
Jenna Twedt won her section with a personal best time of 2:24.12 in her collegiate debut.
The Jaguars' 4x400m relay quartet of
Jahzara McAlister,
Sophia Palmer,
Skylar Ferry and
Reese McCuan placed third overall with a time of 3:59.94.
The Jags will return to action next weekend when they compete at the Crossroads of America Invite at the Fall Creek Pavilion.
