GREEN BAY, Wisc. - IU Indianapolis senior goalkeeper Cameron Maung-Maung posted his third shutout of the season on Saturday (Sept. 27) in leading the Jaguars to a scoreless draw at Green Bay. Maung-Maung anchored a defense that absorbed 16 Green Bay shot attempts, including multiple final Phoenix waves. 

"The clean sheet and a point on the road are the positives for today but the result is better than the performance," head coach Sid van Druenen said. "I thought we lacked creativity in possession and simply didn't create enough on offense to deserve much more out of this game."

The Jags (4-3-3, 1-1-1 HL) had their best chances early and late. Nathaniel Isom tested Phoenix keeper Philip Oesterbaek with a low drive in the second minute, while junior Jose Antonio Herrera put two efforts on target in the second half. Freshman Marcus Danh-Khoa Nguyen nearly found the winner in the 89th minute, but his strike carried just over the bar.

Defensively, IU Indy leaned on veterans Brady Horn, Noah Kummrow and Jago Thompson-Roberts to keep the Phoenix at bay as all three played the full 90 minutes. Green Bay (4-3-1, 1-1-1 HL) saw forwards Chris Album and Keegan Walker combine for nine shots, but the Jags' back line and Maung-Maung's sure hands denied them a breakthrough.

Green Bay finished with a 16-6 shot advantage and 5-1 margin in corner kicks. 

Seven yellow cards were issued - four to the hosts and three to IU Indy - six coming after halftime and three coming in the game's final 100 seconds.

IU Indy returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 4 when the Jaguars trek to reigning Horizon League champion Robert Morris for a 3:00 p.m. kickoff in Moon Township, Pa. That contest is slated to be broadcast on ESPN+.
