CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – The IU Indy women's tennis team dropped its Horizon League opener on Saturday, falling 5-2 to Northern Kentucky.
 
In doubles action, IU Indy picked up a win at the No. 2 spot, as Chloe Bailey and Lampman teamed up to defeat Ashlee Fisk and Didi Steenhuis, 6-3. However, the Norse claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3.
 
The Jaguars secured two singles victories, with Elle Kotre defeating Catharina Cardoso in in the No. 3 spot in straight sets (7-6, 6-3) and Grace Lampman outlasting Alyssa Cameron in the No. 5 spot in a three-set battle (6-2, 3-6, 6-2).
 
IU Indy (0-1 HL) will continue Horizon League play when they travel to Oakland on Saturday, April 5.
