INDIANAPOLIS – The IU Indy volleyball team hosts Milwaukee for back-to-back matches this weekend, Friday, Oct. 3 and Saturday, Oct. 4. The Jags are coming off a sweep over the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons and will look to continue that momentum.
IU Indy enters the weekend with a 7-8 overall record and a 1-2 mark in Horizon League play.
Morgan Ostrowski leads the league in hitting percentage with a .368 mark, totaling 128 kills. Freshman
Jillian Tippmann continues to be dominate at the net, totaling a team-high 203 kills, putting her at third in the conference.
Grace Purichia orchestrates the offense, leading the league in assists with 10.27 assists per set for a total of 575.
Milwaukee comes to the Jungle with a 3-13 overall record, with all three wins in Horizon League play. The Panthers earned back-to-back sweeps over Oakland to kick off the conference slate, then earned the mid-week sweep over Green Bay on Tuesday. Natalie Schmitz leads the offense with 139 kills while Kara Erdmann keeps the Panthers in the match with 227 digs.
The Jags fell in back-to-back matches against the Panthers last season and will look to strike back this season.
Both matches will be broadcast on ESPN+ with live stats also available. Friday's match is set for 6:00 PM with Saturday's first serve scheduled for 2:00 PM.
