JAGUARS SWEEP #HLSD WEEKLY AWARDS

Zietlow, Rariden, Otero and Heyde earn this week’s awards

INDIANAPOLIS – The IU Indy swim and dive team collected all four Horizon League weekly awards after their successful weekend over Youngstown State. Nathan Rariden earned his first #HLSD Swimmer of the Week award of the season while Emmaleigh Zietlow earned her fourth Swimmer of the Week award this season. Sebastian Otero earned Diver of the Week for the fifth time this year while Alaina Heyde earned her first Diver of the Week award this season.
 
Zietlow, a senior from Hartland, Wisconsin collects the award after leading the women's swim team to a win over Youngstown State with six individual wins and two relay wins. She won the 1650 free (16:46.98), 200 free (1:48.99) and the 500 free (4:52.36) during Friday's meet then took first in the 400 IM (4:20.66), 100 fly (56.11) and 100 free (51.22) on Saturday. She also helped win the 400 free relay on Friday and the 200 free relay on Saturday.
 
Zietlow has now been named Swimmer of the Week four times this season and a total of 12 times in her IU Indy career.
 
Rariden, the reigning Horizon League Freshman of the Year, earned his first career Swimmer of the Week after recorded six individual first-place finishes and one relay win against Youngstown State. The sophomore from Powder Springs, Ga. took first in the 200 free (1:37.91), 100 free (45.22) and the 500 free (4:33.79) on Friday. He then followed that up with three wins on Saturday in the 200 free (1:39.45), 100 free (45.84) and the 500 free (4:32.62). Rariden helped lead the Jags to a win in the 400 free relay on Friday.
 
This marks the first career #HLSD Swimmer of the Week award for Rariden.
 
Sebastian Otero, a junior from Fishers, Indiana earned his fifth title of the season after leading the men's team on the diving boards against Youngstown State. He swept the men's competition against the Penguins with wins in the 1-meter and 3-meter. He took first in the 1-meter with a score of 359.70 and earned first in the 3-meter with a score of 392.85.
 
Otero has five Diver of the week awards this season and a collegiate career total of 17 weekly titles.
 
Alaina Heyde picked up her first Diver of the Week award this season after sweeping the women's diving competition against Youngstown State. The senior from Carmel, Ind. won the 1-meter with a score of 258.23 and took first in the 3-meter with a score of 273.00.
 
This is Heyde's first award of the season and her fifth career #HLSD Diver of the Week award.
