CLEVELAND – The IUPUI men's tennis team fell in a Horizon League match up at Cleveland State, 6-1.
Noah Viste recorded a singles point for the Jags.
The Vikings took the lead with the doubles point.
Kamil Kozerski and
Emil Jankowski fell in the number one doubles spot, 6-4 while
Will Thurin and
Eli Mercer dropped the number three match, 6-2.
Luka Rodic and
Steven Paz were up 6-5 in the number two match when the Vikings clinched the doubles point.
In singles play, Cleveland State took five of the six matches to secure the 6-1 win. Kozerski dropped the number one match, 6-3, 6-3, then Mercer lost in the number six match, 6-4, 6-2. The Vikings then sealed the match win with Rodic falling in the number four singles match 6-3, 6-4. Paz lost the number two match, 6-4, 6-4, while Jankowski lost in the five spot, 6-2, 7-6.
Viste closed out the match with the sole point for the Jags in the number three singles match, 7-6, 7-6.
IUPUI will next travel to Youngstown State on Sunday, April 14 for a 11:00 AM first serve against the Penguins.
