ORLANDO, Fla. – The IUPUI men's tennis team kicked off their spring break trip to Orlando with a victory over Lehigh, 4-3. The Jags secured the doubles point and three singles points to earn the win.
Steven Paz and
Luka Rodic took the number two doubles match with a score of 6-4 while
Blessing Benibo and
Noah Viste secured the doubles point with a victory in the number three spot, 6-4.
Kamil Kozerski and
Emil Jankowski fell in the number one spot, 6-2.
After earning the doubles point, the Jags took three out of the six singles points to secure the win. Paz earned a dominate singles win in the number four spot, 6-2, 6-1 while Rodic took the number five singles match, 6-4, 6-1. Sophomore
Eli Mercer sealed the victory in the number six spot, 7-6, 6-2.
Kozerski dropped the number one singles match in a hard fought three sets, 1-6, 6-1, 6-4. Viste fell in the number two spot, 6-3, 7-5 while
Nate Day lost in the number three spot, 6-1, 7-6.
IUPUI will continue their Orlando trip when they face Lafayette College on Wednesday at 1:00 PM.
