ORLANDO, Fla. – The IUPUI men's tennis team closed their spring break trip with a sweep over Lafayette on Wednesday morning, 7-0.
The Jags took the doubles point to take an early 1-0 lead.
Steven Paz and
Luka Rodic earned the number two doubles win, 6-0 while
Blessing Benibo and
Noah Viste sealed the doubles point with a 6-1 victory in the number three spot.
After taking the doubles point, the Jags didn't let up, sweeping singles play.
Kamil Kozerski won in the number one spot, 6-3, 6-3, while Viste earned the number two singles win, 6-3, 6-2. Paz earned his singles point in the number three spot, 6-4, 6-0, while
Nate Day took the number four match, 6-4, 6-1. Rodic won in the number five spot, 6-1, 6-0, and
Eli Mercer rounded out the lineup with a win in the number six spot, 6-2, 6-1.
With the back-to-back spring break wins, the Jags improve to 6-10 overall this season. They will next travel to Chicago to open Horizon League play against the Chicago State Cougars on Sunday, March 17 at 11:00 AM ET.
