INDIANAPOLIS – The IU Indy volleyball team will host the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons in a mid-week match on Tuesday, October 29. The Jags will host the Mastodons for their annual Dig for a Cure night, raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Donate to the Susan G Komen Foundation and join the Jags in fight to end breast cancer. Fans are also asked to wear pink in support as the Jags will wear their pink jerseys.
IU Indy returns to the Jungle after a split with Oakland this past weekend. The Jags took match one, 3-0 but then the Golden Grizzlies returned the favor taking match two at 3-0. IU Indy is 10-14 overall with a 4-7 mark in conference play, fighting for their spot in the Horizon League Tournament. The Jags will host their next five matches.
Morgan Ostrowski continues to lead the Jaguars and conference in hitting percentage with a .380 mark, totaling 202 kills. Sophomore
Grace Purichia has been dominate at the service line, leading the Horizon League in service aces with 0.58 per set for a total of 53 aces.
The Jags previously fell to Purdue Fort Wayne on the road on October 1 in straight sets. The Mastodons are 14-10 with a 7-4 mark in conference play.
The Jags and Mastodons are set for a 7:00 PM first serve on ESPN+.
