Both offenses cooled down in the second quarter, playing over four minutes before the first score, coming off a Layne Ferrell layup. On the other side, the Jags finally got on the board with a layup through contact from Walton, who also knocked down the free throw to cut the Raider advantage to three.

The second half began with Ferrell grabbing a defensive rebound and taking the ball all the way to the hoop for an open layup. Wolterman, however, scored on back-to-back trips for IUPUI. Head coach
Kate Bruce was forced to call a timeout after giving up 13 of the first 15 fourth-quarter points, creating a 21-point deficit with just over five minutes remaining. Her team executed out of the break, with Johnson connecting from beyond the arc. However, the Raiders answered quickly, knocking down a triple of their own. Johnson would again hit from deep—her third of the game—before making a layup for eight straight points for her team and cutting the deficit to 15.
Despite scoring nine points in the final minute and a half, the deficit proved too much for the Jags, who fell 74-64.
