GREEN BAY, Wisc. – After a slow start, the Jaguars fought back to take the Green Bay Phoenix to a five set battle but fell short, 3-2 on Saturday night. Briana Brown led the attack with 17 kills followed by Maia Long with 10.
 
The Phoenix took a two set lead after winning the first set, 25-14 and the second set 25-19. The Jags refused to go down without a fight taking the third set, 29-27. Down by one at 26-25, Brown collected three kills to close out the third set victory.
 
IUPUI kept the momentum in the fourth set going on an 11-2 run during the set to take a ten point lead, 22-12. Long closed out the fourth set with a kill. Green Bay took a fast lead in the fifth set, but the Jags fought late with Brynn Zastrow collecting back-to-back aces. Ultimately the Phoenix took the set and match, 15-13.
 
Brown led the attack with 17 while Long collected 10 and Morgan Ostrowski earned eight. Grace Purichia led in assists with 48 and Addie Evans collected 16 digs.
 
IUPUI will return to the Jungle on Tuesday, Sept. 26 for a 6:00 PM match against Oakland.
