INDIANAPOLIS – The IUPUI Athletics Department and head women's basketball coach
Kate Bruce have announced the addition of
Morgan McMillen to the women's basketball staff. McMillen will join the staff as the team's video coordinator. McMillen previously played for head coach Bruce at Walsh University.
"We are thrilled to add Morgan to our Jaguar family," said Bruce. "Morgan was a great collegiate player, and her knowledge of the game will be beneficial as she begins her transition to the sideline. She is a person of high character whose values align with our program's mission to grow our student athletes on and off the court. Her enthusiasm for the game is contagious and I have no doubt that she will be a tremendous coach and mentor to our team."
McMillen finished her collegiate career at Walsh University this past season, starting in all 29 games and averaged 19.6 points a game. During the 2021-22 season, while playing for Bruce, she started in 33 games and averaged 14.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.
Before transferring to Walsh, McMillen spent two seasons at Bowling Green where she earned Academic All-MAC honors and was named to the MAC's All-Freshman Team.
The native of New Philadelphia, Ohio has already assumed duties, beginning at the start of the academic year.
