INDIANAPOLIS - IU Indy will welcome SIUE to Indianapolis on Thursday, Nov. 5, for the Jaguars' home opener inside the James T. Morris Arena. Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPN+.

The Jaguars arrive looking to bounce back from an 81–73 season-opening loss at Purdue. IU Indy led by five entering the fourth quarter, then saw the Boilermakers pull away late. Olivia Smith scored 16 points and added seven rebounds and four assists. Destini Craig had 15 points, Hailey Smith added 14, and Reagan Sipla chipped in 11, including three first-quarter threes.

IU Indy's defense could be a key factor against a SIUE team that opened its season with 95 points and shot 55.4% from the field. The Jaguars forced 23 turnovers and collected 10 steals against Purdue, continuing a defensive identity that led the Horizon League in steals and turnovers forced last season. Disrupting SIUE's rhythm may help IU Indy control the pace in its new home.

The Jaguars were picked fifth in the Horizon League preseason poll after finishing seventh last season and winning a conference tournament game for the first time since 2022. Thursday also renews a brief series in which IU Indy holds a 2–0 lead; the teams last met in 2015, when the Jaguars won 85–67.

The Jags and Cougars will tip off at 6:30 PM.
