INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI men's cross country and track and field program and head coach
Justin Roeder announced the additions of 10 student-athletes for the upcoming season. Roeder and the Jaguars earned a #HLXC runner-up finish a season ago and showed well in the distance events at both the #HLTF Indoor and Outdoor Championships in the spring.
Eight of the 10 newcomers will be true freshmen in the fall and be joined by a pair of transfers in Connor Murphy (Illinois State) and Andrew Whitinger (Purdue Fort Wayne).
"This upcoming class is going to be one to remember. Each of these student-athletes were phenomenal to work with in the recruiting process and our coaching staff is thrilled to see them all on campus this upcoming school year," Roeder said. "These incoming student-athletes join a very accomplished and competitive team, but we are confident their academic and athletic ability will be significant to our continued success."
The eight true freshmen all come from inside state lines as Roeder welcomes Andrew Blake (Pendleton Heights), Sam Hinds (Westfield), Nolan King (Evansville Central), Janan Pillai (LaPorte), Noah Price (Liberty Christian), Nicolas Probst (Penn), Luke Shappell (Leo) and Jackson Tuck (Chesterton) to the program.
