4/6/2023 11:17:00 AM

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The IUPUI women's golf team will participate in the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational this weekend, competing among the 10-team field at Stone Ridge Golf Course. The tournament is slated for two rounds on Friday (Apr. 7) and a final round on Saturday (Apr. 8).

Head coach Jamie Broce's team is still looking to find its rhythm this spring, but hasn't competed since the end of February. Graduate Kara Blair was the team's top performer at the event at 231 as the team closed at 935 (304-319-312). Blair also became the fifth player in program history to surpass 100 career competitive rounds at that tournament.

For the year, the team owns a 309.71 scoring average, led by Annaliese Fox's 76.86 stroke average.

QUOTABLE: "We're excited to get out and play. I think we've got a lot of young women who are really close to playing really well. A couple minor tweaks and I think we'll have some breakthroughs. The young women have been working really hard this spring, so we're excited to go out and put up some good numbers," Broce said.
