INDIANAPOLIS – The IUPUI women's tennis team earned a 7-0 sweep over IU Kokomo on Wednesday afternoon.
 
The Jags earned the doubles point with all three match wins. Meghan Bernard and Samantha Hayward won at number one doubles, 6-0 while Marta Krakowski and Sarah Lounsbury earned the number two doubles win, 6-1. Makenzie Myers and Sofia Castillo finished out the doubles play in the number three spot winning 6-1.
 
With the 1-0 lead, the Jags swept singles play to earn the 7-0 win. Bernard took the number one singles point, 6-0, 6-1 while Myers took the number two singles point, 6-0, 6-0. Hayward won at number three singles, 6-0, 6-0 while Lounsbury earned the number four singles point, 6-0, 6-0. Grace Lampman won at number five singles and Castillo won at the number six spot, 6-2, 7-5.
 
With the wins, the Jags improved to 9-14 and will now travel to Chicago State on Saturday, April 22.
