INDIANAPOLIS – The IUPUI women's tennis team fell to Youngstown State on Monday afternoon, 6-1. The Jaguars earned the doubles point in the loss.
IUPUI took an early 1-0 lead with the doubles point.
Meghan Bernard and
Samantha Hayward earned the number one doubles win, 6-3 while
Sarah Lounsbury and
Grace Lampman took the number three doubles win, 6-3.
The Jags couldn't close it out in singles play dropping six singles points to the Penguins. Bernard fell at number one singles in three sets, 6-0, 4-6, 1-0 while Hayward fell in the number two spot, 6-1. 6-0.
Emma Dell lost at number three singles, 6-2, 6-2 and Lampman fell at number four singles, 6-1, 6-0. Lounsbury fell at number five singles in three sets, 6-2, 3-6, 1-0 and
Marta Krakowski dropped the number six singles match, 6-0, 6-1.
IUPUI returns to Indy to host IU Kokomo on Wednesday, April 19 at 5:00 PM.
