MUNCIE, Ind. – The IUPUI men's tennis teams falls in a tough match to in-state foe, Ball State on Saturday afternoon, 6-1. The Jags took the doubles point to take the early lead but couldn't capitalize in singles play.
Blessing Benibo and
Colton Morehart continued their hot streak at doubles play with a number two doubles win, 6-4. Nick Moody and
Kamil Kozerski sealed the doubles point with a win in the number three spot, 6-3.
Alex Jochim and
Tom Ciszewski were tied at 5-5 in the number one doubles match when it went unfinished.
After earning the doubles point, the Jags fell in all six singles matches. Ciszewski fell in the number one singles spot, 6-2, 6-2 while Jochim took the number two match to three sets but fell, 6-3, 4-6, 10-7. Kozerski won the first set in the number three spot but couldn't finish it out falling, 1-6, 7-6, 10-6. Morehart lost in the number four spot, 6-4, 6-3 while
Nate Day lost at number five, 6-1, 6-4 and
Eli Mercer lost in the number six spot, 7-5, 6-1.
IUPUI is now 2-11 on the season and will next host UIC on Friday, March 3.
