CLINTON, S.C. - The IUPUI softball team was blanked on the final day of the Pinnacle PC Invitational on Sunday (Feb. 19), falling to Seton Hall by a 6-0 score. Carly Metcalf (0-2) absorbed the loss, allowing four runs (all earned) and four hits in 4.1 innings of work. Alexa Holman came on in relief and yielded the final two runs of the game. 

Seton Hall (3-3) built a 3-0 lead in the second inning, stringing together four singles to plate three runs. Metcalf's opposite number, SHU's Kyra Kreuscher, was brilliant in retiring the first 17 batters she faced before Jaida Speth lined a hit to left-center, extending her hitting streak to four straight games. Kreuscher induced a ground out to end the sixth and keep the Jaguars off the board. She then set the Jags down in order in the seventh to complete the shutout. 

Speth finished 1-for-2 and now has at least one hit in six of the team's eight games this season. 

IUPUI will return to action this weekend when the Jaguars are scheduled for four games at the Samford Bulldog Classic in Birmingham, Ala.
