CHICAGO, Ill. – The IUPUI men's tennis team fell to UIC on Saturday afternoon, 5-2. The Jags took the doubles point and
Alex Jochim recorded the sole singles point.
The Jaguars took an early lead after earning the doubles point. Jochim and
Emil Jankowski won the No. 1 doubles match, 6-4, and the partnership of Nick Moody and
Kamil Kozerski won in the No. 3 spot, 6-3.
Jochim earned the No. 1 singles point in two sets, 6-2, 6-0 to earn the sole singles point for IUPUI. The Flames took matches 2-6 to seal the 5-2 win.
Sean Bailey fell at No. 2 singles (7-5, 6-2), Kozerski lost the No. 3 point (6-3, 7-6 (4)) and
Colton Morehart fell at No. 4 singles (3-6, 6-3, 6-2). Jankowski fell in a hard-fought three sets at No. 5 singles (6-2, 3-6, 7-6 (5)) and
Noah Viste lost in three sets in the No. 6 spot (2-6, 6-1, 6-2).
IUPUI is now 6-16 overall and 2-3 in conference play and will next be in action on April 15 when they travel to Youngstown State.
