EVANSTON, Ill. – The IUPUI men's tennis team faced a tough Big Ten Northwestern team and ultimately fell on Sunday night, 4-0. Only three singles and two doubles matches were completed.
Northwestern earned the doubles match after defeating the Jag's partnership of
Kamil Kozerski and
Blessing Benibo, 6-3, and the upperclassmen duo of
Colton Morehart and
Sean Bailey, 6-4.
Alex Jochim and
Emil Jankowski were tied at 4-4 when the match was halted.
The Wildcats earned wins at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 6 singles to seal the win. Morehart fell, 6-0, 6-4, while Jochim was edged out, 6-2, 6-3. Benibo was defeated, 6-3, 6-1.
The Jags travel to Dayton, Ohio to take on the Flyers on Friday (Jan. 28) at 7:00 PM.
