INDIANAPOLIS - Coming off their second straight Horizon League Cross Country Championship, two members of the IUPUI men's cross country team were voted to the league's All-Academic Team, as announced on Tuesday (June 15). Seniors Eric Hoffman and Alex Ratkovich were voted to the seven-man team by the league's faculty athletic representatives as IUPUI was one of two schools to have multiple honorees. 

Hoffman has maintained a 3.83 grade point average while majoring in social studies education. It marks Hoffman's third career Horizon League All-Academic Team ballot as he was voted to both the indoor and outdoor team last spring. He's also been named to the league's Academic Honor Roll in all five semesters in which he's been eligible. In IUPUI's lone cross country meet of the season, he was the Jaguars' No. 7 runner and 37th overall with a time of 27:33.3 at Northview. 

Ratkovich has mantained a 3.89 grade point average while majoring in exercise science. He earned first team All-Horizon League honors at the league championships, placing fourth overall in a time of 25:36.9. He was later chosen as an USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete honoree. It marks his third career Horizon League All-Academic Team award as he was voted to the league's cross country team in 2019 and the outdoor track team in 2020. Like Hoffman, he's been on the league's Academic Honor Roll all five semesters in which he's been eligible.
