INDIANAPOLIS - IUPUI earned its first win of the season with a 6-1 win over Marian on Saturday (Feb. 6). 

After dropping the first match in doubles play, IUPUI came back to pick up the doubles point with a 7-5 win at No. 1 by Alex Jochim and Colton Morehart and another 7-5 win by the duo of Ethan Mardanus-Budiono and Sean Bailey.

Eric Hollingsworth picked up a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 6 to earn IUPUI's second point of the match and Blessing Benibo's 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 5 put IUPUI one point away from victory. Mardanus-Budiono capped off the win for the Jags with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 1. The remaining wins for IUPUI belonged to Alex Jochim at No. 2 (6-4, 6-3) and Sean Bailey at No. 3 (6-1, 6-3).

IUPUI's next match is set for Saturday, Feb. 13 at Austin Peay.
