INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI women's tennis battled but fell short against Illinois State, losing to the Redbirds by a score of 4-1.

The Jags lost the doubles point after falling 6-3 in the No. 3 match and 6-2 in the No. 2 match.

In singles play, Illinois State wrapped up the match winning the No. 1, No. 4 and No. 5 singles match. Krystal Grubb's No. 2 match went unfinished but the junior won the first set 6-2 before losing set two 6-3. Grubb was down 0-2 in the last set before the match was called.

UP NEXT
IUPUI will be off until Feb. 15 when the Jaguars will travel to Tennessee to take on Lipscomb.
