INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI men's tennis could not grab a point in a 7-0 loss to Xavier on Wednesday (Feb. 12).

IUPUI (2-7) lost the doubles point with a 6-2 loss at No. 2 and a 6-4 loss at No. 3. Sean Bailey and Alex Jochim were leading 5-4 in their No. 1 match when Xavier secured the doubles point.

A 6-0, 6-1 loss by Michael Koch at No. 5 and 6-2, 6-1 loss by Bailey at No. 2 put Xavier one point away from the match win. Nicholas Moody fell 6-4, 6-1 in the No. 6 match giving the Musketeers the win.

Both Alex Jochim (No. 1) and Eric Hollingsworth (No. 4) dropping their matches by 7-5, 6-4 scores. Ethan Mardanus-Budiono was the lone Jaguar to earn a set win but eventually fell in three sets, 4-6, 6-0, 10-4.

IUPUI will travel to Dayton to take on the Flyers on Friday (Feb. 14) in their next match.
