MADISON. Wis. – IUPUI men's tennis dropped its match against Wisconsin by a score of 7-0 on Saturday (Feb. 1). The loss moves the Jags to 1-4 on the season overall.

The doubles point went to the Badgers after a 6-0 win over Reed Plunkett and Michael Koch at No. 3 and a 6-2 win at No. 1 over Nicholas Moody and Alex Jochim.

Singles play began with Plunkett falling 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 6 match and Wisconsin moved one point closer to the match win with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Moody. Wisconsin earned the win with another 6-1, 6-2 win, beating Koch, 6-1, 6-2.

The remaining matches were a 6-4, 6-1 loss by Ethan Mardanus-Budiono at No. 2, a 6-4, 6-4 loss by Sean Bailey at No. 3, and a 6-1, 7-5 loss for Alex Jochim at No. 1.

UP NEXT
IUPUI will play their first home match of the season against the University of Indianapolis on Tuesday (Feb. 4). The match will be played at the West Indy Racquet Club and begin at Noon.
