TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – IUPUI's offense was ice cold as the Jaguars were swept by Indiana State, 3-0 on Tuesday night (Sept. 17).
Hannah Oehlberg led the Jags with 12 kills but was the only IUPUI player to have more than six.
IUPUI (4-6) hit -.044 as a team, finishing with 35 errors and just 29 kills. It was the lowest hitting percentage for an IUPUI team since Sept. 5, 2019 when the Jags hit -.101 against Northwestern.

Maddie Dean finished with the best hitting percentage on the night with five kills on 12 attempts, hitting .333.
Oehlberg did collect a double-double with 15 digs to go along with her 12 kills and
Rachel Hickey led the Jaguars with 23 digs.
The offense put the Jags in a hole early as IUPUI finished both the first set and the second with five team kills and 13 errors. This led to hitting percentages of -.235 and -.205, respectively. IUPUI lost the first set 25-12 and fell in set two 25-11.
In set three, IUPUI jumped out to a 7-4 lead after back-to-back errors by Indiana State and pushed its lead to 16-12 after a kill by Dean. The Jaguars would earn three set points but each time Indiana State was able to fend off IUPUI. Eventually, Indiana State would take advantage of IUPUI not being able to close out the set and win set three 31-29 to end the match.
