INDIANAPOLIS - IUPUI ended a four-match losing streak on Sunday morning (April 14) with a 4-3 win over Green Bay. The Jags took the doubles point and then earned three singles wins for the match win over the Phoenix.
The Jags made quick work of the Phoenix in doubles play as
Krystal Grubb and
Mariella Pessina earned a 6-0 win at No. 2 and
Meghan Bernard and
Samantha Hayward won 6-1 at No. 3.
Sarah Lounsbury and
Gabrielle Ochalik were up 5-2 in their No. 1 match but it went unfinished after IUPUI clinched the doubles point.
Hayward gave the Jags their second point with a quick 6-0, 6-4 win at No. 6 before Green Bay earned its first point with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Ochalik at No. 1.
Krystal Grubb's 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 4 put the Jags one point away from the win.
Mariella Pessina, the Jags lone senior and playing in her final home match of her career, closed out the match for IUPUI with a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 3.Â

IUPUI will hit the road for its final weekend of the regular season. The Jags will play at Cleveland State on Friday (April 19) before closing out the regular season against Youngstown State on Saturday (April 20).
