HILTON HEAD, S.C. – IUPUI earned another tight victory that came down to the final singles match with Mikel Saavedra winning in three sets, 6-2, 2-6, 6-1.

The Jags got things going in doubles play after dropping the No. 1 match. The duo of Sean Bailey and Ethan Mardanus-Budiono took the No. 3 match 6-3 and IUPUI earned the doubles point as Bradley Luetschwager and Kyle Whittaker won 6-4 in the No. 2 match.

To start singles play, Luetschwager picked up the first win with a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 4 but then George Mason rattled off three-straight singles wins at No. 3, No. 2 and No. 1. Eric Hollingsworth pulled the Jags back in to a 3-3 match tie with a 7-6, 6-0 win at No. 5, setting up Saavedra's chance to earn the match point for IUPUI in the three set win.

With the win, IUPUI has now won four-straight matches and has earned its 10th win of the season. The ten wins match the highest total for the Jags in a season in the last five seasons. IUPUI won 10 matches in both the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons.
