CINCINNATI, Ohio - IUPUI women's tennis was swept by Cincinnati, 7-0 on Friday night (Feb. 8).

The Jags (1-4) could not manage a point against the Bearcats (3-2) but freshman Christina Stankovic pushed her No. 2 singles match to three sets. After dropping the first set 6-1, Stankovic tied the match up with a 4-6 win in set two but fell just shy of a win, falling 10-7 in the final set. 

Cincinnati took the doubles point after the team of Meghan Bernard and Samantha Heyward lost 6-1 in the No. 2 match and the duo of Gabrielle Ochalik and Stankovic fell 6-2 in the No. 1 match. 

In singles play, the Bearcats earned the first point with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Krystal Grubb at No. 3 and closed the match out with a win over Ochalik at No. 1(6-2, 6-1) and Hayward at No. 6 (6-3, 6-2).

IUPUI will be back home Saturday (Feb. 9) with a match against Dayton at the West Indy Racquet Club that will begin at 3:30 p.m.
