VOLLEYBALL TRAVELS TO YOUNGSTOWN STATE FOR MATCH WITH PENGUINS

IUPUI will return to Indianapolis for Senior Day on Sunday (Nov. 10) with a match against Green Bay.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – IUPUI volleyball hits the road for a midweek matchup at Youngstown State on Wednesday (Nov. 6) before coming home for its home finale of the season against Green Bay on Sunday (Nov. 10). Before the match against the Phoenix, the Jags will celebrate the career of its three seniors.

Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+ and the match against Green Bay will have Andrew Kappes on the call.

JAG SCRATCHES
  • Freshman Allie Pogue posted back-to-back double-digit kills including a career-high 14-kill effort in her last match.
  • Haley Hoffman has had at least seven kills, including two 10-kill matches, in her last four matches. The senior has hit over .346 in three of her last four matches and is hitting .287 on the season.
  • Hoffman has also had at least three blocks in each of her last four matches, with a seven-block effort against UIC.
  • Hoffman has 27 solo blocks on the season, one shy of the single season record. Hoffman has had a solo block in each of her last seven matches and in all but one Horizon League match.
  • Senior McKayla Wright leads the offense with 2.88 kills per set and has reached double-digit kills in 11 matches this season.
  • Junior Rebecca Schlechte has been the primary setter for the Jags in each of the last four matches and has finished with 34, 36, 45, and 46 assists in her last four matches, respectively. Schlechte is averaging 6.86 assists per set.
  • In four of the last five matches, IUPUI has won the first set before losing the match.
Last Match vs. Youngstown State
  • Wright and Maddie Dean led the Jaguars each finishing with 16 kills. Dean hit .317 in the match.
  • Rachel Hickey was one of three players to finish with double-digit digs. Hickey led the Jags with 27 digs, while Schlechte had 11 and Rhiannon Schuenemann had 10.
  • IUPUI took the first two sets of the match before losing the next three, including dropping set five 15-13.
  • IUPUI hit .214 and .220 in the first two sets before finishing the match with a.183 hitting percentage.
Last Match vs. Green Bay
  • IUPUI fell behind 2-0 in the match with the Phoenix before forcing a fifth set. In the last set, IUPUI lost again 15-13 to lose the match.
  • Dean led the Jags on offense with 12 kills and Wright finished with 10.
  • Schlechte led the offense with 23 assists and Regan Trueblood added 21.
  • Hickey led IUPUI's defense with 22 digs and Schuenemann tallied 16.
  • The block for the Jags was led by Hoffman, who finished with four, as IUPUI had eight blocks as a team.
