INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI volleyball will return home to the Jungle on Wednesday (Oct. 9) to take on Youngstown State in a midweek Horizon League match. The Jaguars will continue their week with a road trip to Green Bay on Sunday (Oct. 13).
IUPUI will look to rebound from a 0-2 road trip with losses to Wright State and Northern Kentucky. The Jaguars were swept in back-to-back matches for the second time this season, the first coming against Memphis and Indian State on Sept. 14 and 17.
The match against the Penguins will begin at 6 p.m. in the Jungle with Greg Rakestraw on the call on ESPN+. IUPUI will take on the Phoenix Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m., also on ESPN+.
JAG SCRATCHES
- After hitting better that .173 in both matches to start the Horizon League season, IUPUI's offense fell short on the road, hitting .064 against the Raiders and .053 against the Norse.
- IUPUI began the conference season with 19 aces in the first two matches, the Jags had just six combined aces against Wright State and Northern Kentucky.
- IUPUI earned a third-straight match with double-digit blocks against Wright State with 10 but fell short of hitting that mark for a fourth-straight match, collecting only eight against NKU.
- Senior Haley Hoffman is on a tear at the net defensively, averaging 2.07 blocks per set in the four league matches. Hoffman is at 1.40 blocks per set for the season.

- Hoffman leads the team on offense with a .338 hitting percentage and is second on the team with 2.14 kills per set.
- Freshman Regan Trueblood is leading the Jaguar offense with 5.57 assists per set while junior Rebecca Schlechte is averaging 3.57 per set.
- The Jags are allowing teams to hit .171 while only hitting .128 as a team in the four league matches this season.
- IUPUI's blocking is averaging 3.36 blocks per set during conference play.
ALL-TIME SERIES
vs Youngstown State – IUPUI is 7-4 all-time against Youngstown State and the Jags have won seven-straight against the Penguins. All four meetings during Horizon League play and the last five meetings overall have been 3-0 wins for IUPUI.
vs Green Bay – Green Bay holds a 6-4 lead over the Jags and last season beat IUPUI 3-0 in both matches. In the first season the Jags were in the Horizon League, IUPUI beat the Phoenix in both meetings.
SCOUTING REPORT
Youngstown State
The Penguins are 0-4 in Horizon League play and 6-11 overall for the season. Youngstown State is yet to win a set this year in league play and has played four teams that have a combined 12-4 record.
Youngstown State's offense is hitting .155 on the season and Brooklen Pe'a is the best attacker the Penguins have, hitting .199 and averaging 2.80 kills per set.
On defense, Margaux Thompson leads the team with 3.83 digs per set.
Green Bay
Green Bay is 2-2 on the season and 10-6 overall to begin the week and will face off against Youngstown State on Friday (Oct. 11) before playing IUPUI.
On the season, Taylor Wolf is hitting .267 and is averaging 4.51 kills per set. Wolf has upped her kills average to 4.78 in Horizon League play.
