INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI men's tennis had a strong day on the court taking both of its matches to move to 2-1 on the season. The Jags earned a 4-0 win over Marian and followed that up with a 4-1 win over Eastern Illinois.

The Jags started their day with a 4-0 win over Marian. IUPIU started things out taking the doubles point after getting wins at No. 1 doubles by Alex Jochim and Colton Morehart (6-1) and the team of Sean Bailey and Ethan Mardanus-Budiono winning 6-2 in the No. 3 match.

In singles play, Eric Hollingsworth earned the first point for the Jags with a 6-4, 6-0 win at No. 5. Morehart took care of his No. 3 match 6-2, 6-4 and IUPUI needed just one point for the match win. That point came from Mardanus-Budiono who won 6-3, 6-2 at No. 4 to wrap up the match.

The three remaining singles matches remained unfinished with Jochim up 3-0 in the third set at No. 1, Bailey up 5-4 in set two after winning set one in No. 2 and Rodney Steven was tied 2-2 in the third set at No. 6.

IUPUI earned its second win of the day with a 4-1 win over Eastern Illinois.
 
The Jags quickly took the doubles' point as Bailey and Mardanus-Budiono took the No. 3 match, 6-0, and Jochim and Morehart won 6-2 at No. 1.
 
In singles play, Mardanus-Budiono earned a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 4 singles and Steven won his No. 6 match 7-6, 6-3. From there IUPUI closed out the Panthers with a 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 win by Bailey at No. 2 singles. The lone Jaguar singles loss came in the No. 5 match as Hollingsworth fell in three sets (6-1, 3-6, 2-6). Both Jochim at No .1 and Morehart at No. 3 were leading in the third sets of their matches when play was stopped after IUPUI earned its fourth point.
