Box Score BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – IUPUI was led by 12 kills by
Elizabeth Scott but it was not enough as the Jags fell in four set to Marshall to close out non-conference play on Saturday (Sept. 15).
The Jags (3-11) were able to take set two, 27-25 after dropping the first set but could not overcome the Thundering Herd as Marshall won set three 25-19 and set four 26-24 to close out the Jags.
Scott finished the match with a double-double finishing with 13 digs to go along with her 12 kills and
Rebecca Schlechte also posted a double-double with 29 assists and 15 digs. It was Schlechte's seventh double-double of the season and Scott's third.
Rhiannon Schuenemann anchored the Jags' back line defense, collecting a career-high 36 digs, the most in a match by a Jaguar since
Jessica Helms had 36 digs against Florida International on August 26, 2017.
IUPUI finished with a season-high 11 total blocks, led by
Haley Hoffman who had a season-high six blocks.
Shakana Norfleet was second on the team with five blocks and seven kills and
Maddie Dean added three blocks to go along with nine kills and four digs.
IUPUI will return home to start conference play as the Jags play host to UIC on Friday (Sept. 21) before taking on Green Bay on Saturday (Sept. 22).
