BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The IUPUI volleyball team will play its final non-conference tournament over the weekend at the Bowling Green Invitational on Friday (Sept. 14) and Saturday (Sept. 15).
The Jags (2-9) begin their weekend with a match on Friday against Nicholls State at 11:00 a.m. IUPUI will continue the tournament on Friday night, taking on the host Bowling Green Falcons at 6:00 p.m. The final non-conference game on IUPUI's schedule is Saturday against Marshall at 2:00 p.m.
IUPUI is looking to break a five-match losing streak after dropping a match last Tuesday (Sept. 11) at Ball State, 3-0. Offense has been an issue for the Jags over the last five matches, hitting a combined .127 as a team. In tow of the matches during the streak, IUPUI has hit under .100.
Senior
Elizabeth Scott leads the team with a .228 hitting percentage and is second on the team at 2.82 kills per set. Scott hit a season high .538 and tied her season best with 16 kills in the match against the Cardinals.
Junior
McKayla Wright posted her first double-double of the season, tallying 10 kills and 10 digs against Ball State.
