INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI's swimming and diving program has been voted to finish fourth in both the men's and women's Horizon League preseason coaches' poll the league announced on Wednesday (Oct. 3).

The Jags finished fourth on the men's side last season and fifth in the women's competition. IUPUI returns two individual champions from the 2018 Horizon League Championships, one on each squad as senior Krisztian Somehgyi is the reigning 3-meter diving champion and Olivia Treski took gold in last year's 1650 Free.

"We have a good mix of veteran leadership and young talent on our squads," said head coach Matt Bos. "Having gone through our initial Horizon League season last year, we feel like we have a better knowledge of how to navigate the conference. It is a very talented group of teams and we look forward to hosting the championships in February."

On the men's side, Cleveland State took home the top spot of the poll, followed by Oakland and Green Bay. UIC comes in fifth after IUPUI and Milwaukee took the last spot on the poll.

Oakland earned the top position in the women's poll with Cleveland State and Milwaukee finishing second and third. Following IUPUI, UIC was picked to finish fifth with Green Bay and Youngstown State chosen sixth and seventh.

IUPUI will begin its 2018-19 season with a dual meet against the University of Indianapolis at the Natatorium on Thursday (Oct. 4) with the meet beginning at 6 p.m.
