INDIANAPOLIS - IUPUI volleyball is back home for a weekday showdown against Milwaukee on Wednesday before hitting the road to battle Cleveland State on Friday.
The match on Wednesday (Oct. 3) against Milwaukee will be streamed on ESPN+, as will the match against the Vikings. The match against the Panthers will also be Professor Appreciation night as the Jags celebrate their educators.
IUPUI (5-13, 2-2 Horizon) is coming off of a 2-0 weekend with wins at Oakland and at Youngstown State and will be looking for its first home win of the conference season against the Panthers.
The Jaguars offense started to return over the weekend as seniors
Maggie Gibson and
Abby Boatman played in their first two matches together this season. IUPUI's hitting percentages in the two matches were higher than the previous four.
For the season, Boatman leads the team with a .384 hitting clip and is second on the team with 2.86 kills per set. Gibson's 2.96 kills per set leads the team and has the second-highest hitting percentage at .206.Â
Elizabeth Scott is third on the team with 2.70 kills per set and
Maddie Dean is fourth at 2.07.
Rebecca Schlechte leads the team with 7.02 assists per set after averaging over 10 assists per set in her last two matches.
On defense, IUPUI remains second in the NCAA in digs per set with 19.11. It is a full team effort for
Steve Payne's squad as five players have over 100 digs on the year.
Rachel Hickey leads the way with 4.00 per set, followed by
Rhiannon Schuenemann (3.74) and Gibson (3.31). Schlechte at 2.98 and Scott at 2.17 round out the top five. At the net, IUPUI is led by
Haley Hoffman with 1.03 per set and Boatman is averaging 1.00 per frame.

Milwaukee comes in to the match against IUPUI having lost three-straight matches after winning their Horizon League opener against Wright State. In their last three losses, the Panthers have only won one set. On offense, Milwaukee is only hitting .149 on the season as Carmen Heilemann, who leads the team with 2.58 kills per set, is only hitting .144 on the year.
On defense, the Panthers only average 16.57 digs per set, led by Jess Grabowski with 4.81 per set and the leading blocker on the team is Shanon Volpis with 0.85 per set.
at Cleveland State – (10-6, 4-0 Horizon)

Cleveland State comes in to the match as the lone remaining unbeaten team in conference play after two weekends. IUPUI will be looking for its first win against the defending champions when the Jags travel to Cleveland on Friday.
The Vikings are third in the league with a .179 hitting percentage as a team and allows opponents to hit a league-low .144. Triniti Hall leads the team with a .255 hitting percentage and is second on the team with a 2.81 kills per set. Sara Skeens leads the team with 3.09 kills per frame.
Cleveland State leads the Horizon League with 2.69 blocks per set and has three players averaging more than one block per set. Hannah Greene leads the way with 1.41 per set, followed by Hall (1.10) and Rachel Stover (1.06).
