INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI women's soccer team will face a tall task on Wednesday evening (Oct. 17) when the Jaguars host Horizon League leader Milwaukee (12-1, 6-0 HL) at 4:00 p.m. at Carroll Stadium. Milwaukee is unbeaten in 21 consecutive Horizon League contests, having gone 19-0-2 during that span. This season, the Panthers have outscored opponents by a 31-9 margin and posted six shutouts, while being shutout only once.

On the flip side, head coach Chris Johnson's squad comes in on the heels of back-to-back 1-0 road losses in league play, including a defeat in overtime at Wright State. The back-to-back losses come on the heels of three straight wins, including an emphatic 4-0 win at Illinois State. Freshman Elizabeth Bueckers scored twice in the victory and sophomore Valentine Pursey tallied her third game-winner of the season.

The Jaguars are 192 minutes removed from their most recent goal though. For the year, Bueckers has a team-high four goals while sophomore Miranda Ricks has 11 points and is tied for third in the Horizon League with seven assists. Bueckers' four goals has her tied for sixth in the league.

Defensively, junior Sophia Lipka is tied for the league lead with six shutouts and is second in the league with 77 saves. She also owns the league's fourth-best goals against average at 1.11.

ZERO WASTE INITIATIVE: Wednesday's game will be a 'Zero Waste' event as IUPUI Athletics will partner with the IUPUI Sports Complex and Office of Sustainability on this initiative. New bins will be used for waste collection and food waste will be sent to compost. Members of the IUPUI Swimming & Diving teams will help in the coordination of the event.
