IUPUI (2-5) will welcome in-state foe Ball State (5-1) at 7:00 p.m. in The Jungle

Live Stats I ESPN3 Video

INDIANAPOLIS - The IUPUI volleyball team will continue it's four-game homestand on Tuesday night (Sept. 5) when the Jaguars host Ball State for a 7:00 p.m. start inside the Jungle. Tuesday's match will be broadcast on ESPN3 as Greg Rakestraw (pxp) calls the action. Tickets are just $5 for adults and $2 for youth (ages 3-12). In addition, IUPUI students are admitted for FREE with a valid Crimson Card.

Head Coach Steve Payne's team is seeking to stop a five-game skid after opening the season with back-to-back wins. However, the Jaguars looked strong on the final day of the recent Hampton Inn Invitational, taking Miami to five set before falling 3-2 and then playing a tough Marquette squad to a 3-1 defeat.

Senior Kori Waelbroeck was named to the Hampton Inn Invitational All-Tournament Team and continues to be the Jaguars' top attacker at 4.19 kills/set. Behind her, Gabby Fisher (1.71 kills/set), McKayla Wright (1.68) and Maddie Dean (1.67) have all contributed to the offense. Junior setter Maggie Gibson has been a welcome surprise, leading the team with 9.70 assists/set and adding 27 total blocks. Junior Abby Boatman leads the defense with 1.33 blocks/set.

Senior libero Jessica Helms owns a team-high 5.37 digs/set.

Ball State comes in at 5-1 overall and has won five straight after opening the season with a straight set loss at Indiana. Since then, the Cards have defeated Indiana State, DePaul, Navy, Bradley and Fort Wayne in succession. Brooklyn Goodsel (3.80 kills/set) and Ellie Dunn (3.00 kills/set) lead the BSU attack as they've outhit foes .244-.156 this season. Amber Seaman paces Ball State in assists at 10.05/set while she and Kate Avila both average nearly four digs per set.

IUPUI has won the past two meetings between the two schools while Ball State owns a 14-5 edge in the all-time series.

Full postgame coverage will be posted to IUPUIJags.com immediately afterwards.
