LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The IUPUI men's soccer team will face its toughest test to date on Tuesday night (Sept. 19) when the Jaguars travel south to play Louisville (4-1-1, 1-1 ACC) at Lynn Stadium at 7:00 p.m.. The contest will be broadcast on ESPN3 and ACC Network Extra. Louisville was ranked No. 12 nationally last week and then won at No. 7 Syracuse 2-1 on Friday night.
IUPUI (0-5, 0-2 Horizon) is coming off a 3-0 loss at Oakland in the second weekend of Horizon League play. The host Golden Grizzlies tallied first off a header in the game's early stages and never looked back, holding IUPUI to just four shot attempts. Senior
Uriel Macias was credited with three attempts in the loss. Redshirt freshman
Tyler Shanahan made his first career start and stopped five shots while allowing the three scores.

Pedro Valladao leads the IUPUI attack with three points while

Michael Buck started the first four matches of the year and recorded a 2.00 GAA with 11 saves. Shanahan has a 3.00 GAA and five saves after one appearance.

SCOUTING LOUISVILLE: The Cardinals are 4-1-1 on the season with the lone loss having come at home to No. 2 Wake Forest. UofL has wins over nationally ranked Butler and Syracuse and a draw with nationally ranked Kentucky. Adrien Cabon and Tim Kubel lead the Cardinals with five points each with both of Kubel's goals being game-winners. In goal, Jake Gelnovatch has a 1.13 goals against average and two shutouts this season. He's needed to make just seven saves in six games as the UofL defense is holding foes to just 5.2 shot attempts per contest.
